It’s amazing how much work goes into a home, especially one as large as the Golden Mermaid Villa! For the past 13 months, my focus has been on transforming the interior, bringing the old villa back to life. But this past week, I finally turned my attention to the outside.

I spent a few days planting flowers in the 16 large red cement planters that are scattered around the property. Sticking with the villa’s color scheme, I chose a vibrant mix of yellow, red, and white flowers. The new plants add a much-needed splash of color and life to the exterior, and it’s so satisfying to see all the hard work paying off, both inside and out. It’s truly starting to feel like a home.
